  • Covid-19 Update
Changes to Outpatient Pharmacy service delivery for metro patients 13 January 2021 The Outpatient Pharmacy at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital is transitioning to cease the metro post/courier service from 1 January 2021. The courier service to all patients commenced in March 2020 in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) to limit unnecessary flow of people through the hospital. Now with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in Western Australia it is transitioning back to the pre-COVID service. There are no changes for our regional patients who will continue to have their prescriptions kept on file and have their medications delivered via post/courier. For detailed information about the options available please access the Outpatient Pharmacy update (PDF).

Stroke treatment pioneer awarded for Excellence in Stroke Care Delivery 06 December 2019Clinical Associate Professor William McAuliffe, Interventional Neuroradiologist and Deputy Head of Department of the Neurological Intervention and Imaging Service of WA (NIISwa), has been instrumental in developing the state-wide stroke mechanical thrombectomy service in Western Australia and was awarded for his pioneering work at the Stroke Symposium in October this year.
