Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital - Community Advisory Council

The Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group is looking to recruit consumers and carers for its Community Advisory Council. This Community Advisory Council is a formal partnership between consumers and carers, the North Metropolitan Health Service and Executive Committee, that embeds the voice and perspectives of consumers, carers and families in decisions that impact their experience. The group is seeking members with lived experience either as a consumer or a carer, who has used, or is using, Sir Charles Gairdner or Osborne Park Hospital.
This Consumer Advisory Council contributes to improving health outcomes by ensuring that the health experience and journey of consumers, carers and their families is person-centred.
The Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group Consumer Advisory Council:
- Represents diverse consumers, carers and families in the community to help work in partnership to develop positive solutions that are meaningful and impactful.
- Brings lived and living experience of health care to be more person-centred.
- Contributes to change in a range of ways from providing feedback to participating in the design of policies, programs etc.
- Cares about wellness, partnership, equity, learning and growing, mental health and safety, care, trust and demonstrating these in our work.
- Advocates for engagement and recognition of the value of lived experience and the importance of improving the health care experience so consumers, carers and families can work together more effectively to improve health outcomes.
