Central Venous Catheter Insertion Course

This is a half day course run by SCGH Specialists from Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, Renal Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

It will involve discussions about relevant anatomy, common pitfalls, trouble-shooting, and types of lines available. There will also be hands-on stations covering needling using both ultrasound or landmark techniques, securing lines, femoral lines and vas caths.
