Readiness for the Initial Assessment Anaesthesia Competency Training (RIAACT)

This course for novice anaesthetists is based on the UK course. It is a three-day course, shared by Royal Perth Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. The course at SCGH is open to Introductory Anaesthesia Trainees on the WA Anaesthesia Rotational Scheme.

It involves both small group interactive tutorials with high fidelity simulation scenarios to increase trainee confidence with managing intraoperative crises.

The RIAACT course is an internal course run for ANZCA Introductory Trainees attending SCGH and so is not currently open to external applicants.
