Medical Photography

The Medical Photographic Department is based at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

As a patient attending the hospital, your treating medical team may refer you for medical photographs. All photographs captured by the unit form part of your secure patient digital medical record (DMR).

The photographs will allow various medical teams the opportunity to confidentially monitor your treatment providing you with continuum of patient care across many specific specialties that may be required as part of your overall treatment while in hospital or visiting an outpatient clinic.
