The Rheumatology department caters for acute and elective admissions for ongoing investigation and care for patients with arthritic and inflammatory connective tissue disorders.
Ward rounds and hospital consultative service occurs 4-5 times weekly – contact through Registrar.
The department links with Rehabilitation Units at Osborne Park Hospital and Fiona Stanley Campus for longer-term rehabilitation requirements.

Clinics
- New Case and Review Case Clinics are conducted on Tuesday and Thursday AM as well as Wednesday PM.
- An Emergency Clinic, Monday AM, caters for urgent outpatient support.
- A Combined Clinic (Biologics) is also run on Monday AM.
- Specialised Clinic for joint injections are on Wednesday PM.
- A dedicated Connective Tissue Disease Clinic occurs every Thursday AM.
- A dedicated Adolescent Transition Clinic is run every Thursday AM.
- A dedicated Scleroderma Clinic occurs once a month on a Thursday.
- There is an out of hours (Mon-Friday 6pm-2am and 24 hours during weekend) on-call roster for phone contact and if necessary for attendance by consultant to back up the rheumatology staff, emergency department and other departments within SCGH.
