Western Australian Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service

The Western Australian Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service, previously known as the State Head Injury Unit, aims to promote and assist the rehabilitation and community reintegration of people in Western Australia affected by Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).

The service provides a state-wide, comprehensive, specialist case coordination and community-based therapy service to individuals between the ages of 16 and 65 years who have an ABI. Individuals seen typically sustain an ABI from trauma, stroke, tumour, hypoxia, severe concussion, infection etc.

Referrals (Word) are accepted from any sources for individuals residing anywhere within Western Australia. Referrals can be made at any stage along the continuum of care following injury.
