Volunteers required for medical research and ethics committee
Do you know someone that may be interested in medical research and ethics and willing to volunteer their time?
The Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group (SCGOPHCG) Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) provides ethical advice to the hospital and researchers about proposed research projects and are currently searching for new volunteer representatives in the capacity of lawyer and in the capacity of layperson-male.
Lay members and lawyers play critical roles on the HREC by representing the opinions and perceptions of the community and insight into the expectations of those outside the health care service.
Interested applicants do not require HREC experience as support will be provided, however applicants may not have previously been employed in a health delivery role.
The positions involve approximately 10 hours of work every second month in meeting preparation and attendance.
Expressions of interest should be emailed together with a current CV to: SCGH.HREC@health.wa.gov.au
Expressions of interest close on the 23rd August 2020.
For more information, please contact the SCGOPHCG HREC on (08) 6457 2999 or via email at SCGH.HREC@health.wa.gov.au
