  • Raymond and Enid, 50-year recipients
Recognising our dedicated staff at the North Metropolitan Health Service 2026 Long Service Awards 06 November 2026 Our 2026 Long Service Awards were recently held to recognise our staff who have worked across North Metropolitan Health Service (NMHS) for 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years. This year 414 people were recognised for Long Service Awards, including senior clinical physicist Enid and building and maintenance painter Raymond who have both worked at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) for more than 50-years. Highly-respected both nationally and internationally, Enid was part of the biophysics team that developed computerised testing systems that were fundamental to SCGH utilising emerging computer technology and medical equipment. She is also responsible for introducing visual electrophysiology across the state after studying at Rotterdam Eye Hospital after receiving a Rotary Foundation Scholarship early in her career. Raymond commenced at SCGH as an apprentice painter and has helped maintain and p...

  • Celebrating our dedicated staff! 29 July 2019 Congratulations to our July Sir Charles Gairdner Osborne Park Health Care Group Employee of the Month Award winner, Peter McEwen, SCGH Nursing Co-Director. Peter was nominated by his colleagues for his integrity, dedication and commitment to his profession (so much so we had to grab him on the go as he ate his lunch!). Peter consistently uses his skills and ability to deliver outcomes for the benefit of our patients and the hospital. He always ensures that the patient is at the heart of any discussion, and drives to provide a better service to ensure that the patient is cared for. Congratulations Peter! A special thanks to our generous sponsors: Paywise Salary Packaging, HESTA, Smartsalary and StatePlus. If you've had a great experience with one of our staff members why not put them forward for an award? Next time you are onsite ask how you can submit a nomination.
