Radiation Oncology

We offer radiotherapy treatment for many different types of cancer diseases as well as non-cancer diagnoses, treating patients Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 17:00. Subject to change.

The department has 5 linear accelerators, 1 Cyberknife, 1 planning CT scanner, a brachytherapy suite and a comprehensive planning room, enabling us to treat all areas of the body with conventional radiotherapy (3D, IMRT/ VMAT and DIBH), in addition to more specialist techniques including (but not limited to) total body irradiation (TBI), paediatrics, stereotactic cranial and body radiotherapy and brachytherapy. We offer inclusion in radiation trials if appropriate and have a large research department. Specialist nurses are available in the department to provide support and advice.
