If you are receiving chemotherapy you will be asked to have a blood test the day before your treatment at a PathWest lab.

One of the nursing team will look at your blood results the afternoon before your treatment, so it is important to have them taken in the morning.

It is preferable that you attend PathWest as we cannot easily access your results from other pathology labs.

It is important that you have your bloods taken as directed by a treatment nurse.

Failure to have your bloods taken in a timely manner may result in long delays for yourself and other patients and can disrupt our service.

If you are not receiving chemotherapy your treatment doctor will advise you on when to have your blood test taken.
